Putin plays with f ire in his new doctrine
Of late Vladimir Putin has shifted Russia’s nuclear doctrine to a more directly and openly retaliatory posture in response to any attack by Ukraine or any NATO country using longer-range US missiles.
At least 20 people were killed and many reported missing after a massive landslide hit southwest China on Tuesday, according to officials.
Rescuers found the bodies of two children, a mother with her baby and another woman on Thursday in Shuicheng county, Guizhou province, according to state broadcaster CCTV.
Eleven people have been found alive since the side of a hill collapsed on 23 homes earlier this week, covering them in thick mud.

The search is still underway for about two dozen missing people.
Heavy seasonal rains have caused extensive flooding and landslides across much of southern China.
Landslides are a frequent danger in rural and mountainous parts of China, particularly after heavy rain, and the country has suffered heavy flooding this year.
